Interim Report Card

In your child’s home folder today you will receive a form from the school that has been requested by the Ministry of Education. This form is to confirm that you have received and reviewed your child’s interim report.

We kindly ask that you complete and return the form to your child’s teacher by Friday, April 10th. Your prompt attention to this helps us ensure our records are accurate and up to date.

Second Term Duotang

Today your child will be bringing home a duotang filled with some of their work from the second term. This collection shows many of the activities and learning they have been doing in class.

I encourage you to take some time to sit down with your child and look through the duotang together. It is a great opportunity for them to share what they have been learning and for you to see the progress they have made over the term. You might ask them to explain a page, read something they wrote, or tell you about a math activity they completed.

Please note that I will not be sending home students’ writing folders. We continue to use these regularly in class, so they will remain at school. If you would like to see your child’s writing folder, you are very welcome to come by the classroom after school and take a look at it.

Thank you for taking the time to celebrate your child’s learning with them!

Almost Spring Break!

Just a quick reminder that Mr. Morris and I will be leaving tomorrow with the team going to the Philippines, so today will be my last day at school before Spring Break.

Mrs. Maccan and Mrs. Ellis will be filling in for me for the rest of this week. The students will be in great hands while I am away!

Before the break begins, please remember to clean out your child’s locker. Any extra clothing items, papers, and toys should be taken home.

As well, please send any home reading books back to school so they are ready for your child to continue reading when we return.

I hope you all have a wonderful and restful two-week break with your families. I look forward to hearing all about what the students did when we return!
