An Update

Your kids are amazing!  Look all the sweet cards and notes and pictures they made for me.  I feel loved, for sure!  I ended up needing a second surgery on the weekend so it is taking me longer than first expected to be back.  Hopefully, next Monday.  Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Ujlaky are taking such good care of things at school.  What a blessing!

Mrs. Morris Is Missing

I am so sad to be missing some of these last precious days of school with my Kindies.  You may or may not know that on Monday I had an operation to remove my appendix.  Unfortunately, it was ruptured so the healing process will take a little longer than first hoped.  I’m super grateful for God’s hand of protection over me and know that He will work everything out for good.  I’m also thankful for loving, capable teachers like Mrs Ellis who are willing to step in in times like this.  I hope your little ones are adjusting well.  Please tell them I miss them and am looking forward to being back as soon as I am able!

Spring Sing Details

Our students k-12 along with their music teachers, Mrs. Caswell and Mrs. Mackie, have been busily preparing for next Monday evening’s Spring Sung concert.  Parents, family members, and friends are invited to attend.  The program begins at 6:30 but the students are asked to meet in their classrooms at 6:15 to get ready there.  Please dress your Kindergarten child in summer attire.  They will be performing a Hawaiian song!

Spelling Words

It was nice to have some of you join us today for our spelling demonstration.  I’m sure you were impressed by how far the children have come in their printing since the beginning of the year!  As promised, here are the words we have worked on so far;

week one: top, but, and, cat, red

week two: six, all, my, not, ten

week three: hat, be, am, is, bed

week four: ran, run, go, do, did

Once we’ve worked on these words we keep them in a collection and read them as often as possible.  If you are interested in helping your child at home you might want to print these words out on cue cards perhaps and have your child read them to you.  It’s a great way to help your child build their reading vocabulary!

May Dates

Here are some upcoming dates for the month of May:
