Family Homework Pages

Thank you for helping your child with their family homework these past couple of months.  We have enjoyed learning about each other’s families and sharing our own family experiences.  There is no rush to return the latest paper (grandparent interview).  If it is easier to work on this over the holidays than please do so and feel free to return it in January.

Thursday Dress Options

It has been decided that all Highroad students may wear pajamas, cozy Christmas clothes, or Knight wear tomorrow.  You should have received an email from the office about this earlier today.  We are hoping to get outside at some point tomorrow (if temperatures don’t drop too low) for some fresh air so please continue to send along a warm coat and winter accessories.  Thanks!

This Week

Here we go! Just three more days + a concert and we’ll be ready for 2 weeks off to celebrate Christmas with family and friends.  I pray that amidst the busyness of the season you will find REST and will experience the joy and peace that Christ’s birth in a stable long ago brings to our lives.

We will not be learning a new memory verse this week.  We will resume in the new year.

Remember to dress your child in black for Friday’s performance.  It will begin at 9:30 am but please have your child in the classroom by 9 am.  The program should last about an hour and your child will be dismissed immediately following the performance in our classroom.

I am planning a little Christmas party for this Thursday morning and am looking for a few items for a cookie decorating station:

undecorated sugar cookies

white icing

christmas sprinkles

I will have a sign up sheet ready on Tuesday morning.  Thanks!

Primary Christmas Concert

Can you believe how fast this month is flying?  The Kindies have been very busy working with Mrs. Caswell to prepare for the Primary Christmas concert on Friday, December 16th.  Please note that this is not a usual school day for our class.  We get to have an extra morning together.  How fun is that?!  Please drop your child off in the classroom at 9 am as usual.  The concert will begin at 9:30 am in the gym and should last about an hour.  The children will be dismissed from the classroom immediately following the program.

Both Kindergarten classes will be STARS for the performance.  We are asking that you dress your child in black.  If you don’t have black pants a dark pair of jeans would be fine.  The children will also be wearing a star headband which will be provided for them the day of the concert.

Please feel free to invite friends and family members to this performance.  You will want to arrive early to save seats as the gym always fills up fast.  See you there!
