Happy New Year!   I hope you’ll forgive me for the very late Thank You for all of the lovely cards and gifts I received before the Christmas break.  I felt so blessed and spoilt!

I trust that you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday with your family and loved ones.  The children were telling me all kinds of stories about the fun that they had on their Christmas break.  Well done, moms and dads!  I hope you managed to squeeze in a nap or two on the couch or do something fun for yourself.  Let’s face it.  Christmas can be a lot of work!

Starting this month we will begin “Welcome Wednesdays” in our classroom on Wednesday mornings.  If you have the time when you’re dropping off your child we would love for you to feel welcome to come in for 10 minutes or so and read to your child and maybe one or two of their friends.  If you can’t stay, no worries!  We’ll make sure that each child is included in a reading group.

It’s going to be a great year ahead.  Welcome, 2023!
