Guatemala Fundraiser:

The whole school will be invited to participate in a “Pay to Wear Casual” day on Thursday, December 8th.  With a donation of any amount, students may wear casual clothing.  Moneys raised will be used towards HRA’s missions trip to Guatemala this Spring.

For the Elementary Department (K-6) there are donuts and cookies available to order on Munch-A-Lunch.  Please note that these need to be ordered by December 2nd.  There will not be any available on the day to purchase.  Email the office if you need help with Munch-A-Lunch.

Salvation Army Food Drive:

The food drive will start on Thursday, December 1st.  Please note that cash donations are preferred as the Salvation Army can buy food at a discount price, making the donations go farther.  More information will come closer to December.

Christmas Sweaters Day:

On Wednesday, December 14th all students (K-12) are welcome to wear Christmas-themed clothing.  Any student not wishing to participate can wear their regular uniform.

Christmas Concerts:

The students have begun working on preparing for the Christmas concerts.

Grade 4-12 Concert: Thursday, December 15th at 6:30pm

Grade K-3 Concert: Friday, December 16th at 10:30am

Note: All classes will be dismissed early on Friday, December 16th at 11:30am (after the concert).

Christmas Countdown

The children are working on a Christmas countdown craft that will be coming home today.  It is a star with 24 links.  Starting on the night of December 1st have your child remove one link and enjoy counting down the days until Christmas!  It’ll be here before we know it!

Poppies

We are excited to have a Remembrance Day Ceremony tomorrow at 10:30am. You are welcome to join us! Each student will be given a poppy to wear. If you would like to send in a donation, the office will gratefully accept it!

Remembrance Day Service

We hope you can come join us on November 10th at 10:30am for our Remembrance Day Service.  In preparation for this service, we are asking all our Highroad families if they have a special Veteran in their lives that they would share with us.  Please go to Honouring Veterans and upload a photo and story of your special Veteran this week.  We would love to share the photos and stories at our service.
