It has been raining a lot lately and this is what our playground currently looks like. Please consider sending boots along with your child that they can change into for outdoor play. An extra set of clothes is also helpful in case our uniform gets wet or messy. We are looking into a solution for the drainage issues out there but will have to wait a bit before that happens. In the meantime, this might explain the messy uniform your child is probably coming home with each day!
December is just around the corner! How did that happen? Here are some dates to add to your calendar:
Wednesday, November 25 – Western Dress Up Day
Monday, November 30 – Wear your pajamas for Christmas Concert filming
Tuesday, December 1 – pay to wear casual (a minimum $5 donation to the Salvation Army allows your child to wear casual clothes that day)
Friday, December 11 – Professional Development Day (no school for students)
Wednesday, December 16 – Silly Sweater Day
Thursday, December 17 – Last day of school before Christmas break!
Our theme for the months of November and December is “Families.” We have been talking about how our families are similar and different from each other and roles and responsibilities within our families. Next month we will talk about our family traditions.
To help us learn more about each family represented in our classroom I will be sending home some “homework.” The first of these papers came home in your child’s folder today. Please help your child think of something your family enjoys doing together and have your child draw a picture of it using at least 5 different colours. Please record what the activity is (example: going for a walk, playing a game together) and send it back to school.

The Kindies were practising their song for the Christmas program with Mrs. Caswell today. They’ve worked so hard and are doing such a great job of it. Remember filming day is next Monday. Please send your child to school in their pajamas. I think Mrs. Orrell should wear hers too 😜!
