Pink Shirt Day

I just wanted to send out a quick reminder that Wednesday is pink shirt day.  Students may wear a pink shirt with casual bottoms.  Alternatively, they can wear their uniform.  We will have a special assembly in the afternoon to learn about Friendship!

Lost Cardigan

One of our Kindie has lost their cardigan in the last week or so.  Could you possibly check your child’s uniform pieces to see if it accidentally came home with them?  It is a size s or xs cardigan labelled Scarlett T.  or Theissen.  Thanks!

March Dates

It just seems crazy how fast this year is going!  Here are some important dates coming up in March:

Monday, March 5 – Mobile Dairy visit

Wednesday, March 7 – K-3 Assembly about safe/unsafe substances

Wednesday, March 14 – Report Cards come home and Spring Break begins!

Tuesday, April 3 – School Resumes

Mrs. Black will be filling in for me on several days in the month of March.  On Monday, March 5th I will be taking my son, Ethan, to his two performance classes at the Music festival.  The following week, on Tuesday, March 13th, Mr. Morris and I will be jetting off to China!  We will be involved in a number of educational fairs, representing Highroad and the agency we work with over there.  I know the children will love having Mrs. Black TOC again.  She’s always lots of fun!

Valentines

Tomorrow morning we will be handing out our Valentines at the start of the day.  If you are able, please plan to stay a few minutes to help your child.  If time permits we follow up with a few minutes of “Welcome Wednesday” shared reading.

Blessings for Guatemala

Over Spring Break a team of high school students (including my daughter, Madeline!) along with Mr. and Mrs Teschke and Mr. and Mrs. Bartel will be heading to Guatemala on a missions trip.  While there they will be helping to build a school in one of the country’s many remote communities.  We have an opportunity to play an important role in blessing this community by providing essential items for the men, women, and children who live there.  Below is a list of items being collected for distribution.  We have a big blue box in our classroom waiting to be filled! The team welcomes new, or gently used donations. Please keep in mind that items that are too big will not be able to fit on the airplane 🙂

List of things you can help donate:
